Wynona Barua can often be found carrying three journals at once: one for her thoughts, one for her drawings, and one for all the things that don’t fit into either category. She is sometimes struck with anxiety about where she will store all her journals as they grow perilously high in number. But, like all things, it passes.

Welcome to a snippet of these notebooks, built with care and love, just like the pieces showcased within – and much lighter to carry around.

(Oh, and the spiel:
Wynona Barua uses writing, drawing, and photography as tools of simultaneous interpretation and creation – and, of course, as ends in themselves. Her work is informed by her study of film and literature at Columbia University in New York City, where she graduated from in 2023. She served as co-Editor in Chief of open access literary journal, Meliora, for almost two years, and has interned for Academy-Award nominee Mira Nair.)
